This filly can't help but be beautiful. She is a very elegant type with an active and roomy walk, a plentiful and powerful trot in which she displays a lot of presence. Her canter shows good scope and elevation.
Her sire is Jirrima Vintage Jet, by Jet Set D. JetSet D one of the most successful Dutch dressage stallions, scoring seven 9's for movement during his performance testing in Ermelo. His progeny include Mrs A, Otina, On Top, Oxiet Champion of Champions Foal at Arnhem in Europe. In Australia, Jet Setter B, is a 'B' Grade Show Jumper with Junior Rider, Georgia Lucas and winner of JWTH 6yo. While, Paso Doable was champion 6yo at DWTS. Jirrima Vintage Jet's oldest progeny are 6yo and already they have had much success in multiple disciplines. In their short saddle careers Jirrima Vintage Jet has winners in SJ, Eventing, Dressage and Hacking. These include Jirrima YoubetheJudge, Jirrima Ya Jet, Jirirma Anchorman, Vintage Rose and Jet Set Diva, who was successfully competing at 1* as a 5yo.

Jirrima Emerald is the first foal of Jirrima Zifirah, who has been retained by the stud as part of the junior broodmare band as she demonstrates the same lovely confirmation and temperament as her full brother 2* eventer and ISSA Event horse of the year 2008 Jirrima Variety Show. J Variety Show was 5th at the 2009 Melbourne 3DE CCI 1* finishing on his dressage score. He has also won at medium level dressage and is proving to be a talented showjumper winning 1.30m classes. Jirrima Zifirah's sire is HP Lonzo distinctly resembles his sire, FEI dressage and World Cup SJ stallion, Lander(imp HOL). Her dam Jirrima Onyx has produced a number of successful progeny for the stud including Jirrima Variety Show, Jirrima Self-Appraisal and Jirrima Xplorer.
Jirrima Emerald is specifically bred as a dual purpose competition horse with the future opportunity as a broodmare.

Jirrima Vintage Jet

J Vintage Jet's eldest progeny will be rising 7 in 2010. Already they have had much sucess in multiple equine disciplines and there is still much more to come. In their short saddle careers J Vintage Jet's first crop of foals have already experienced success in Eventing, Dressage, Showjumping and Hacking. They have also demonstrated the lovely trainable nature by proving reliable and enjoyable mounts for Pony Club riders.

Jirrima Vintage Jet currently has young stock ridden by their owner/ riders competing at Elmentary dressage, 1.20m Showjumping, 1* eventing and the various elements that Pony Club expects.

 

'Jirrima Vintage Jet' has proven performance breeding. Jet Set D speaks for himself and Detour Lass{showjumping lines) already has numerous offspring competing in dressage, eventing and showing. Unfortunately Ice was injured at 6 weeks of age and therefore will never be able to be a competition horse himself. He has been broken to saddle and like his sire demonstrated excellent tractability. He is a dual purpose bred performance stallion, with a lovely kind temperament. Like his sire, he is eager to learn and has remarkedly skilful action in front.

The following is an extract taken from ' International Horse Breeders' referring to Jet Set D. Jet Set D was North Holland Champion Foal and soon developed into a really top-class stallion. He completed his performance test in Ermelo as the best all-rounder in many years and was particularly appreciated for his temperament and athletic action.He was given seven scores of 9 in movement and two scores of 7.5 in jumping. This was what was said in the evaluation at the test:

"Jet Set Dis a royally developed, true riding-type, long lined stallion that shows a lot of nobility and confidence. He has an honest, reliable and steady temperament and is a very willing worker. The walk is active and roomy. He has a plentiful and powerful trot in which he displays alot of presence. His canter shows good scope and elevation."

Jet Set D is a pleasant ride over fences, with a powerful jump, skilful technique and good use of the back. He won the A-Showjumping in s'Hertogenbosch in 1995/96 ridden by Faan Pompen and herewith became Champion of the Stallion Competition in 1995. One of his foals Oxiet, was Champion Foal at the colt selection and Champion of Champions at Arnhem.

Jet Set D is also the sire of the following successful performance horses in Europe: Mrs A, Otina, Jetstream, Orlando, On Top, Troubador, Navratilova, Oxiet, Jet Stream W. Here in Australia Jetsetter B was Champion Jumping with the Stars 6 yr old, while Pasa Doble was Champion 6yr old at DWTS.

Escanaan, Jet Set D's dam, is a mare with a fine reputation with success as an in-hand show horse, 3 times selected for the National Broodmare Show. Escanaan's first foal was sold for the record price of NLG 28 000. While other progeny have been National Ch at the Nth Holland Show, Ch at National Foal Selection and International Showjumpers.

Detour Lass goes back to Precipitation, Bay Ronald and Blue Peter (all strong TB showjumping lines) and has produced dressage, showjumping and eventing progeny. Right of Way currently training two time changes, piaffe and passage. Quest for Dreams competed Pre-Novice eventing before retiring to stud, and producing Yabba Dabba Doo, while J Unbelievable (7yo) currently competing 1m/ D grade showjumping and Prelim eventing.
